Expect friendly service and fresh ingredients with toasted bagels that can be smothered with smoked salmon, garlic ‘n herb, and vegan “shmears,” or choose plain cream cheese with peanut butter. The espresso menu is excellent when you need that all-important fuel.

Two Sisters Bakery

Located down the street from Bishops Beach in the historic Old Town, Two Sisters has been a local icon as a friendly hometown spot for breakfast and more for nearly three decades. On any given day it’s jam-packed with locals and visitors alike. 

It has a sunny dining room for lingering over your morning meal with locally roasted coffee and a full espresso bar, with fresh-baked treats a favorite, but you’ll find tasty made-to-order hot items. Think everything from delectable sticky buns to savory items like the Bacon Egg Danish Braid with Spinach and Cheddar.

Wild Honey Bistro 

Wild Honey is a local favorite known for its amazing crepes with house-made caramelized honey with outdoor seating for enjoying a gorgeous view on a sunny morning in Homer. It’s all about showcasing the abundance that Mother Nature provides, with many of its ingredients harvested by the owner or by those who catch, grow, and raise them here for a true “harvest-to-table” experience. 

While there are plenty of mouthwatering sweet crepes, you’ll find savory dishes that are sure to satisfy like the Forager, with garlic sauteed mushrooms, chevre, spinach, egg, caramelized onion, and balsamic vinegar. The Deja Vu includes a little of both with house-made reindeer apple breakfast sausage, white cheddar, scrambled egg, and maple syrup.

La Baleine Cafe

This cafe on the Homer Spit offers a fabulous atmosphere with views of the bay and the mountains. Dishes emphasize locally grown and sourced ingredients from around the Kachemak Bay area. 

Bring a hardy appetite and enjoy everything from its creative take on the classic British breakfast with house-baked pinto beans, fried eggs, bacon, grilled tomato and mushrooms on sourdough to the Omelet of the Day.
