With its big tides and significant coastline of sheltered coves and lagoons, Kachemak Bay State Park is perhaps the ultimate destination for kayakers in Alaska. Furthermore, the network of hiking trails and ideal camping spots make for ideal conditions for the novice or expert kayaker. Your guide will educate you on the tides, tide pools, sea life, pelagic seabirds, migrating waterfowl, sea mammals and abundant wildlife of the state park. We recommend you carry a daypack with sun tan lotion, camera, binocular, light rain gear, snacks, bottled water, gloves, hat and first aid kit.
