As our guest, by reading and signing your hotel registration at check-in, you are agreeing to abide by all our policies, terms and conditions.
Check-in / Check-out
Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Early check-in can be requested but is not guaranteed. Registered guests must present a Picture ID, and the credit card used for booking at check-in. Only registered and listed guests will be issued keys at the desk. Check-out time: 11:00 AM. Late check-out can be requested but is not guaranteed.
Reservation Guarantee
Land’s End requires collection of a deposit at the time a reservation is made. This deposit will be equivalent to one night’s charge, including tax. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to reserve a room.
Cancellation
A reservation must be cancelled by phone, email, or in person at least 48 hours prior to 4:00 PM on the arrival date to qualify for a full deposit refund. The deposit will be forfeited for any reservation cancelled after 4:00 PM two days prior to the reservation arrival date.
Reservation cancellation policy is not affected by weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes that result in reservation changes.
Land’s End offers one of the best views in the world. However, our location is also susceptible to the effects of multiple natural events such as volcanic eruption, ashfall, earthquake and tsunami. An audible Tsunami Warning System in our area provides alerts to many of these dangers and may signal voluntary or mandatory evacuation. Land’s End does not provide refunds or discounts in these instances. Should you choose to evacuate your room and not return, there will be no refund given.
Early Departure
If a guest chooses to depart earlier than their scheduled departure date, our cancellation policy will still be enforced.
No-Show
If a reservation is confirmed but the guest does not arrive as scheduled, the reservation turns into a “No-Show”. When this happens, the initial deposit will be retained. Any additional nights beyond the first on the reservation will be cancelled in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Smoking
Land’s End and its buildings, rooms, and decks/porches/balconies are 100% smoke free. The Smokefree Alaska Law (AS 18.35.300 – 18.35.399) is a state law that prohibits smoking and vaping in workplaces and public places, protecting the health of all Alaska workers, residents and visitors. Smoking and vaping devices include e-cigarettes, vape pens/personal vaporizers and e-hookah, whether or not the device contains nicotine. The definition of smoking in the Smokefree Alaska Law includes marijuana smoking. Land’s End does not permit the smoking of tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, etc. Under the Smokefree Alaska Law, smoking and vaping is not allowed within 20 feet of an entrance, open window, or heating or ventilation system air intake vent. Smoking is only permitted outdoors and at least 20 feet from any door or window. If there is evidence of smoking of any kind in your room or on the deck/porch/balcony, there will be a non-refundable fee of $200.00 plus tax. Beachfront Lodges & Rooms: $500 non-refundable fee charge plus tax.
Pets
Land’s End does not allow pets on our premises or within our rooms. We do, however, allow ADA Certified Service animals per the ADA Rules and Regulations. Under ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog or miniature pony that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the animal must be directly related to the person's disability. Emotional Support Animals are not permitted, and do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Drones
Drones are not permitted on Land’s End property for any reason. Please notify the Front Desk immediately if you see one.
Cooking
The safety and comfort of our guests and staff is our top priority. It is against hotel policy to have any cooking appliances (besides the provided microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker) in the rooms or on the decks/porches/balconies. Any guest out of compliance with this policy may be required to leave and/or pay a non-refundable damage fee of $200.00 plus tax. Grills are expressly prohibited from being used on any deck/porch/balcony. Beachfront Lodges & Rooms: $500 non-refundable fee, plus tax.
Fires
Fires are not allowed on the beach in front of the hotel or the restaurant. This is due to the extremely dry and hazardous conditions around the property, and also due to the high volume of complaints received when smoke permeates guest rooms. Burning driftwood is not permitted in the city of Homer. Small fires which do not interfere with other guests, and are smaller than 3 feet in height, width, and length, are permitted on city property north of Land’s End. However, we request that your fire be at least 50 feet from any building, stairs, or structure, below the high tide line, monitored continuously, and thoroughly extinguished. Fires and large gatherings on the beach will be restricted after 10:00 PM. If we receive any complaints due to a fire, we will require that it be extinguished immediately.
Housekeeping Services
Stay-over service is provided in our Hotel rooms. Additional amenities are available, by request, from the Front Desk. Beachfront Lodges & Rooms: Stay-over service is provided by request only, at a flat rate of $45 per day.

If restoring the room to its original rentable condition prior to guest occupancy takes an extraordinary amount of time or effort, the reservation will be subject to additional charges. These can result from maintenance, deep cleaning, administration, and/or third-party fees. Extra cleaning fees may be charged to guests who leave excessive trash behind, leave the room in an unsightly condition, or in a state of disrepair. Labor to perform unexpected cleaning such as shampooing furniture or carpet, or removal of excessive amounts of garbage, and other non-typical services will result in additional cleaning fees to the guest at the rate of $45.00/hour plus tax. Beachfront Lodges & Rooms: Please load the dishwasher and start the machine before departure.
Damages
Damage to rooms, fixtures, and furnishings, including the removal of electronics, appliances, equipment, linens, artwork, etc. or any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for that room.
